The following excursions are part of all our add-in programs:
Monday Beaches, beaches 11 am – 5 pm
After enjoying breakfast and the morning sun your guide walks you from beach to beach. As the hills are not higher than about 100 feet (30m) you never get tired. At a secluded beach we stop for a break. If the fish catch that day or the lobsters did not hide well, this may be lunch. Otherwise the Aloe Vera Chef prepared nice alternatives (all included). Enjoyed at a beach you will long remember. This is a great place for snorkelling (provided). After that, we have a jungle hike back to the resort, in time for Happy Hour... This walk is easy to moderate, just bring your walking shoes and swimming gear!
Tuesday Island Tour #1 11am – 5 pm
We leave you enough time for a morning dive and then our air-conditioned bus takes you to St. George’s, known as one of the most pretty harbours in the Caribbean. En route we stop at a spice factory, then enjoy the highlights of the capital, and move to Grand Anse Beach, undisputedly the longest, prettiest beach in the Caribbean. This is a great spot to enjoy your lunch and cold drinks (included). En route after lunch we visit a local art centre and then move to see the most beautiful waterfall Grenada has to offer. No words can describe the joy to hide behind the falls. Totally refreshed you join us to Grand Etang, a crater lake in the mountains. After that you join in for a natural mud bath.…or watch the others. You discovered Paradise... and are back in time for Happy Hour to share your experience with those who chose to stay at the beach or had a great experience as part of their special program.
Wednesday Catch De Lobster 9 am – 3 pm (seasonal, weather-dependent)
The waters around the resort house Rock Lobsters, a small, delicious species. Watch our fisherman in action with the spear-gun. This requires some energetic snorkelling as the lobsters don’t stay put... With a bit of luck we may also meet some nice snappers. Lobster/fish lunch at the Beach BBQ.
Wednesday Sunset Cruise 4 pm – 10 pm (seasonal, cover charge US$ 22.50 pp)
After a stroll in the harbour, snacks and drinks you board the “Rum Runner”. First, enjoy the sunset on the deck, then go down to the dance floor (try the Limbo) where an open bar (try Rum Punch) and barbecued chicken await you. If you still feel hungry your taxi driver will provide you with freshly prepared Tuna sandwiches (not with rum). Apart from the cruise cover charge it’s all included. The cruise is usually available in the high season, outside schedules may differ.
Thursday Hike the Falls 9 am – 5 pm
This is a “serious” walk and therefore we leave right after breakfast. An easy and wonderful walk brings us from beach to beach, where we usually only meet fishermen. After a coffee & cake break (included) we hike up to a waterfall. Admitted, it is not easy, but a truly wonderful experience. At the falls you won’t have any problem with the colder water, you will absolutely love the experience, it’s like going from the sauna into the snow. Then you open your Backpack (included, yours to keep) and enjoy a scenic lunch. After you return and meet your Happy Hour buddies, you have a great story….
Friday Island Tour #2 3 pm – 9 pm
After a relaxing morning and lunch at the Beach our air-conditioned bus brings you to Mt. Carmel Waterfalls. You can chose to take a refreshing dive, explore the area or play Tarzan: here is where real Liana’s await you in season, or all! Then we move north make a quick stop to see how the slaves lived in earlier days and than move to the Grenada Chocolate Factory. This is one of the few places where you can see how fine, pure chocolate is made by a highly motivated team of specialists who care about the environment and give cocoa farmers a better life. The quality of the chocolate is very good and competes with the top. Then we continue to River Antoine water-powered rum distillery. After this we take a sunset splash in Bathway Beach, a quaint experience and a great place for Happy Hour and BBQ (included). After sunset we move to Gouyave in the North-West Coast to enjoy Fish Friday. Some call this their most fun experience in Grenada. Local fishermen offer fresh fish and lobster in a variety of styles at moderate prices (not included). Music, rum & beer galore.
